GOOG and the Netbook

Great article in the IBTimes today about the specifications of Google’s netbook. Link can be found here.

If this report is accurate, the ramifications could be mind-boggling. Google will be offering a highly-sophisticated, technologically advanced machine for an incredibly cheap price, all in order to get the Chrome OS and Google Apps bundled in with their hardware. Google makes 97% of their money through advertising revenue, and with a plan like this, they clearly recognize the added revenue potential of the Chrome operating system. It’s doubtful that they will advertise directly on a desktop, but clearly the opportunity for real advertising growth is there.

I’ll be back later with an introduction to Google as an investment idea. Much of the information that we’ve posted about Google so far will be included in our analysis.

Hope everyone had a lovely holiday weekend!
